It’s almost 1am and I have to be up for work in about 5 hours but I can’t help but lay in bed and obsessively think about this post. I knew if I didn’t get up and start on it now my mind would keep racing and I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep at all. I can see how the blogging business is going to go for me! 😛
A couple of months ago my modeling agency got me a job as an extra in a music video for this Okinawan brother-sister pop band, Triple-P. Of course Okinawa being such a small island I had heard of them already and was pretty stoked that they chose me as one of their extras, the only American one at that! I was the only American, there were two Brazilians and the rest, of course, were Japanese. So to translate throughout the day the Japanese people would speak to one of the Brazilians in Japanese, who would in turn speak to the other Brazilian in Portuguese, who then would speak to me in English. Fun stuff, let me tell you! The shoot lasted all day and, for me, consisted mainly of laying in a chair next to a gorgeous pool on an equally gorgeous July day while people brought me iced tea as I watched the brother-sister duo and their backup dancers lip synch and dance on the opposite side of the pool. A few times I was called to be in a scene doing things like playing in the pool with a beach ball, walking along the pool sidewalk (over and over again) and to just mingle with the other models. I have finally found this video on the net and unfortunately only a small couple glimpses of me are in the final cut. Most of them I’m to far in the distance for you to even slightly believe it’s me, but there’s one second you can “clearly” see me. Below you can see the still I’ve taken from the video (which of course is crummy quality) or  you can watch the video by clicking the link that says “Triple-P (Baby Baby) music video” below the pic to see me at the 2:55 mark! Also, enjoy a couple photos I took on my mobile while watching the action. Not a bad job if I do say so myself!
